We continue to get calls about “abandoned” fawns and we want to take this time to describe how doe and their fawns survive.
Doe seem to leave their babies in the weirdest of places including but not limited to gardens, along fences, and shooting ranges. We get calls of concern about these fawns being abandoned and if anyone can help. Fawns instinctively will lay still where they are put and wait all day for “Mom” to come back. Just give them time and keep your pets away.
