Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all our members and their families. We wish you well this holiday season and hope everyone gets a gun from Santa. This year we will have a Christmas Tree drop off near the lodge. Look out for details in the coming days. We will take unwrapped trees for habit creation in the … Continue reading Merry Christmas

Even driving or walking up the driveway you can slow down and observe nature around you. The more you take time to look the more you will see hidden right under your nose. Over the last few days we've seen some interesting sights. A Great Blue Heron visited our stream in the early morning. A … Continue reading Spend some time outdoors. Observe nature.

Maple adventure

As you've seen, two silver maple trees were tapped this year to try out the maple syrup process. Along with maple syrup comes the opportunity to cook the sap a little longer and create a maple candy. That's exactly what we did this past Saturday. We took 4 gallons of sap and boiled it down … Continue reading Maple adventure

Maple Syrup day

We decided to boil down some of the sap today. Finished up after dark. Looks like this coming week might produce a lot of sap so we look forward to doing this again soon!

Remembering today 18 years ago

Most of our members remember September 11th 2001. We know where we were, who we were with. Remember the skies, bare of planes. Just as with other significant events throughout history, we remember a snapshot of our lives when something drastic happened. Our world changed 18 years ago when we found out how much evil … Continue reading Remembering today 18 years ago

Summer adventures

The past few weeks have been full of events and new happenings. In July we had some wind and rain that had us changing up our routine. Power poles were broken when a tree fell on the lines causing a power outage during a storm. Rain caused excess water in the roads and parking lots … Continue reading Summer adventures

There are times when business gets in the way and there are times you need to put everything aside and take in the beauty around you. We don't do it nearly enough but occasionally you walk along and see something wonderful. For the last 10 years this hill has been worked on by planting wild … Continue reading Taking in the sights
