There’s plenty happening at Blair County Game this October, from volunteer days and shooting events to construction of our Halloween parade float. Everyone is welcome to get involved!
Hours and regular activities
Lodge: 8:30 AM–6 PM. You must sign in before the lodge closes.
Ranges: 8:30 AM until dusk. Please finish shooting and clean up before dusk.
- Youth Air Rifle: Mondays at 5:30 PM
- Trap shooting: Sundays at 1 PM and Tuesdays at 5:30 PM
- 3D Archery Course: Closed for the season
You can also sign up for everyday volunteer opportunities.
October calendar
- October 1: Entertainment Committee meeting at 6 PM; membership meeting at 7 PM
- October 3: Volunteer work day at 9 AM. Bud’s Range will be closed for cleanup.
- October 4: Last Silhouette Match at 9 AM; 5-Stand Trap Shoot at 10 AM
- October 13: Volunteer work day at 9 AM; parade float construction at 5:30 PM
- October 18: Elk County bus trip to Benezette
- October 20: Trap Range closed until 4 PM
- October 22: Parade float construction at 5:30 PM
- October 27: Bellwood Halloween Parade
- October 30: Trap Field and High Power Range closed until 3 PM

No hunting on Sundays
Blair County Game property is closed to hunting on Sundays for this hunting season. No hunting is permitted on club property on any Sunday during the season.

Help build our Halloween float
Join the Entertainment Committee planning meeting on October 1 at 6 PM, then help construct the Halloween parade float on October 13 and 22 at 5:30 PM. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Come share an idea or lend a hand!
Class at Blair Game
October 17: USCCA Shooting Fundamentals, a four-hour class offered by Matt McNaul of The Defensive Advantage. Classes are taught by independent instructors; please contact the instructor for details.
Upcoming shooting events
- 5-Stand Trap Shoot — October 4 at 10 AM: Join us for a morning of trap shooting.
- .22 LR Pistol League — practice begins November 11: Get ready for the indoor bullseye-style league, which begins January 6. Everyone is welcome.
- Bottlecap Shoots — begin January 7 at 7 PM: Use a .22 rifle with peep sights to aim for the center of a small paper target from 50 feet indoors.
